Welcome to Excel 2.0—a small, specialized company with a rich history and even greater ambitions. Behind Excel is me, Stefan Cristian Schaldemose, an experienced entrepreneur and former CEO, with a background in both law and business administration (MBA). 

Excel is the modern chapter in a long-standing story. The original EXCEL A/S was founded in 1977 and was among the first to bring the iconic Italian-French showerhead design to Scandinavia. Since the turn of the millennium, the Excel brand has sold copper garden showers, and with Excel 2.0, which I established in 2018, I am now carrying on the legacy—with pride, quality, and a deep connection to the Nordic design aesthetic.

Scandinavian craftsmanship and an international outlook

Excel’s shower designs are EU design-protected under the name Tisvilde Design & Production. The showers are crafted from genuine, solid copper—not merely surface-treated, but copper all the way through. This is the classic way to create durable plumbing fixtures, and it delivers an exclusive and timeless look that develops a beautiful patina over time.

Production is international but rooted locally:

• Copper pipes and parts are manufactured specifically for us in China and Thailand
• Fittings are primarily imported from Italy
• All shower models are assembled and quality-checked in Denmark – one by one

Excel has a main warehouse at the Port of Køge and an active presence throughout most of Europe via distributors and agents. Outside of Europe, we serve markets such as the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea directly.

A personal company

Excel is a “one-man band”—it’s me, Stefan, you’re talking to when you write, call, or stop by. During the summer months, I serve customers from my workshop and showroom in Tisvilde/Vejby, and every Saturday from June through mid-August, you can find me at Birkepladsen in Tisvilde from 9 AM to 1 PM.

I run Excel with a deep passion for aesthetics, quality, and customer service. It’s important to me that every customer feels seen, heard, and guided. That’s why customer service is open 7 days a week from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
