Welcome to Excel 2.0 – a small, specialist firm with a rich history and even greater ambitions. At the helm of Excel is myself, Stefan Cristian Schaldemose, an experienced entrepreneur and former CEO, with a background in both law and business administration (MBA). 

Excel is the modern chapter in a long-standing story. The original EXCEL A/S was founded in 1977 and was among the first to bring the iconic Italian-French shower design to Scandinavia. Since the turn of the millennium, the Excel brand has been selling copper garden showers, and with Excel 2.0, which I established in 2018, I am now carrying on the legacy – with pride, quality and a deep-rooted commitment to Nordic design.

Scandinavian craftsmanship and an international outlook

Excel’s shower designs are EU design-protected under the name Tisvilde Design & Production. The showers are crafted from genuine, solid copper – not merely surface-treated, but copper right through. This is the classic way to create durable plumbing fixtures, and it delivers an exclusive and timeless look that develops a beautiful patina over time.

Production is international, but rooted locally:

• Copper pipes and parts are manufactured specifically for us in China and Thailand
• Fittings are primarily imported from Italy
• All shower models are assembled and quality-checked in Denmark – one by one

Excel has its main warehouse at Køge Harbour and an active presence across most of Europe via distributors and agents. Outside Europe, we serve markets such as the USA, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea directly.

A people-oriented company

Excel is a “one-man band” – it’s me, Stefan, you’re speaking to when you write, call or visit. During the summer months, customers are served from my workshop and showroom in Tisvilde/Vejby, and every Saturday from June to mid-August you can find me at Birkepladsen in Tisvilde from 9am to 1pm.

I run Excel with a great passion for aesthetics, quality and customer service. It is important to me that every customer feels seen, heard and guided. That is why customer service is open 7 days a week from 8 am to 6 pm.
